  31. Permission to freely re-distribute the MicroBotics Freeware Collection
  32. (MFC) is hereby granted to private individuals and to private and
  33. commercial electronic bulletin boards. This permission is contigent upon
  34. the inclusion of all (and only) the files found in this set which files
  35. must be complete and intact as originally created by MicroBotics, Inc. No
  36. charge may be imposed for this re-distribution (except for normal access
  37. charges to commercial networks). The MFC may NOT be redistributed as part
  38. of any commercial software package, nor as part of any disk collection
  39. except for the Fred Fish disk collection (as distributed by Fred Fish) and
  40. its CD-ROM version as distributed by HyperMedia Concepts. Non-profit Amiga
  41. User Groups may also redistribute the MFC (to their members only) on
  42. diskette. Any other on-disk redistributable software entity, whether
  43. commercial or non-commercial, must apply to MicroBotics, Inc. for written
  44. permission to include the MFC in their diskettes or CD-ROMs or other
  45. tangible, distributed media.

  47. MicroBotics, Inc. retains sole and exclusive rights to the MFC and its
  48. related programs and associated documentation and this permission to
  49. re-distribute shall in no way be interpreted as a weakening or reduction of

  73.                    REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO RE-DISTRIBUTE

  75. If you are an Amiga Dealer or Re-seller and would like to re-distribute the
  76. MFC diskette please print out the permission form below, sign it and send
  77. it to Redmond Simonsen, VP, at MicroBotics, Inc.. If you publish an on-disk
  78. magazine or magazine-with-disk or a collection of re-distributable software
  79. or any other tangible and/or for-profit distribution, you must, in addition
  80. to signing the form below, send a sample of your distribution and the fees
  81. charged before permission can be granted. If you are a hardware or software
  82. third-party and wish to include some or all of the MFC with your product,
  83. there is an licensing fee schedule for doing so. Please send a request for
  84. a copy of this schedule to Redmond Simonsen, VP, at MicroBotics, Inc.

  88. If you'd like to re-distribute our freeware versions of RDPrep and MBRTest-2
  89. (collectively known as the MicroBotics Freeware Collection or MFC) all we
  90. ask is that you agree to the following straighforward, common-sense
  91. conditions return to us a signed copy of this page:

  93. 1. Any re-distribution of MicroBotics Freeware Collection (also known as
  94. the MFC) must be complete and unaltered as originally delivered from
  95. MicroBotics. You must endeavor to use the most recent version of the MFC
  96. software made available from MicroBotics.
  97.  
  98. 2. If re-distributed on diskette, the diskette must be an exact duplicate
  99. of the master received from MicroBotics and may not be altered or added to
  100. in any way. No other software may share the diskette. The diskette label
  101. must carry the same text on it as the master and must have the MicroBotics
  102. copyright notice. You must frequently and regularly virus check your
  103. duplicated diskettes to avoid promulgating a computer virus on the MFC
  104. diskette.

  106. 3. If re-distributed on a hard disk, the MFC must be placed in a file
  107. system drawer labeled "MicroBotics.Freeware". No other software may share
  108. this subdirectory. The organization and contents of files inside the
  109. MicroBotics.Freeware drawer must be identical to that found on the MFC
  110. diskette.

  112. 4. The MFC must be re-distributed free of all charges with the exception
  113. that if distributed via diskette, a $5.00 (US) maximum charge may be
  114. imposed for media, postage and handling (we urge this charge not be imposed
  115. inasmuch as we are giving you a free license for very valuable software and
  116. it is in your best interest to deliver completely free of charge). Non-USA
  117. dealers or distributors may translate that charge into their currency at
  118. prevailing exchange rates. If distributed on a hard disk or removable mass
  119. storage media, absolutely no charge may be made for the MFC software.

  121. 5. The MFC may not be packaged with other third party peripheral hardware
  122. without explicit written permission from MicroBotics for each specific
  123. case.

  125. 6. If placed on a dealer or distributor BBS system, the MFC must either be
  126. presented as a single archive with the same organization and contents as
  127. the MFC diskette, or the separate freeware program archives for MBRTest-2
  128. and RDPrep as posted by MicroBotics on CompuServe and BIX will be used. The
  129. most recent of such publicly available archives will be used in all cases.

  131. 7. No additional support nor any warranty of suitability or fitness is
  132. offered by MicroBotics for this free re-distribution. All end-user
  133. interactions or questions flowing from the free re-distribution of the MFC
  134. will be handled by the re-distributor and not by MicroBotics.

  136. 8. This grant of limited rights to re-distribute the MFC will in no way be
  137. interpreted as a weakening or dilution of MicroBotics, Inc.'s interest and
  138. rights in the MFC. The right to re-distribute may be withdrawn or modified
  139. unilaterally by MicroBotics, Inc. at any time it so chooses.

  164. this software. Owners of other manufacturer's peripherals should look to
  165. those companies to provide support and information relevant to the use and
  166. testing of their products.

  169. MicroBotics products upon contacting MicroBotics for support and other 
  170. information on the MFC.
